I found an old asian book in flea market and decided to give life to its pages through a delicate floral composition inspired by japanese floral art: Ikebana.

There are in Japan 3000 Ikebena schools. Codes are many and complexes, but the result must always be purified, asymmetric, in an esthetic search, but also for sense and for development of elements (flower, leaf, branch, bark...).

For this new poetic "inspiration", I chose to represent a Sakura branch. I love the delicacy of its flowers, which amaze me every year. Such a short period of time which reminds me how life is ephemeral and thus precious !

As always, everything is handmade (no laser cut, no punches). 150 small paper flowers and bud have been created !

 30 cm x 12.5 cm x 29 cm in heights.
